I deliver live and immersive experiences covering the key points of human history, from the beginning of man’s stone age experimentation with technology, to the foundations of modern British society in the 1950s. I bring a wide collection of museum-quality reproduction and original artefacts to handle, use and wear along with a lifetime of experience and skills.
I have always been fascinated by history. Whilst studying at art college, I discovered reenactment and living history. I trained as a craftsman and began a career as an armourer working from a shed at the back of Brighton’s Prince Albert Pub. My work has featured, and continues to feature in films, theatres and re-enactments worldwide.
In the 90s, I began suffering from ‘Armourer’s Elbow’ and was unable to continue spending all day in my workshop. Around this time I became a father of two and discovered a talent for teaching history and engaging young learners.
